Group 1: Investments and Land grabbing – to identify ‘hotspots” in landgrabbing in the region, actors/companies/government involved, scale of impact and deepen analysis of investments regime/legal/policy frameworks in the region/country level and how these are facilitating large-scale landgrabbing and prospects for regulatory reforms. Group 2: Food and Water Security in the Region– identify problems related to food and water crisis. The workshop will look into the trend of food price volatility and water scarcity affecting agriculture and the ways by which states and international institutions have been responding to these.
